Dragon’s Lake Entertainment is looking for a Technical Art Director to skillfully bridge and mediate artists and programmers and lead the expertise of technical art in our Company.
Expectations are clear:
- 5+ years of experience in the video game industry
- 2+ years of experience in leading a team of technical artists
- Comprehensive knowledge of several CG fundamentals such as modeling, texturing/shading/surfacing, rigging, animation, lighting, and rendering
- Familiarity with most of the modern art software packages and expert understanding of at least one (Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Substance, ZBrush, etc.)
- Experience in programming and/or relevant scripting
- Production experience with Unreal and/or Unity
- Understanding of the rendering process in different platforms
- Understanding of cutting-edge processes, tools, and industry techniques
- Upper-Intermediate level of English

- Mentor, guide, and lead Tech Art expertise in the Company
- Guide and provide constant support to the team members
- Help conceive, generate and improve pipeline and processes
- Help Team to develop 3D art pipeline tools and extensions with an eye towards usability and efficiency
- Work in close cooperation with 3D Artists and Graphics Engineers to ensure that the technology meets art requirements
- Cooperate with engineers to improve the graphics engine. Act as a bridge between creative and technical teams
- Develop, regularly communicate, and document technical art standards, technical constraints, best practices, and techniques
